One of the genres which students examined and subsequently produced in Language classes is the advice column. Based on various in-class discussions and written activities, we focused on a number of topics that deal with teen issues related to the theme of relationships. The relevancy of those topics was assured by the fact that the genre in question responded to genuine letters submitted anonymously by Year 9 students.
